Samsung Galaxy S II Wifi Direct Service

one of the main feature came with Samsung Galaxy S II is Wi-Fi-function. This Phone has very fast wifi services which in other phones don’t have and this is 100% faster than the Bluetooth.  This allows the users to transfer music, photos, video and data over the Wi-Fi.

Most of the users don’t know how to use this function. So here is the guide for how to use this service
Requirement – Both phones should have Wi-Fi direct service

1st Step – Go to settings


2nd Step – Go to Wireless and network



3rd Step – Go to Wi-Fi Direct Settings


Note – if you having any Wi-Fi connections active in your mobile please disconnect because you are going to connect a bridge between your devices.

(If needed, you can configure Wi-Fi direct options such as giving a name and a password)



4th Step – Simply tap on Wi-Fi direct (Tick Wi-Fi direct)


Note – Do the same in your other device also

5th Step – Soon as you configured both devices you will able to see each other wireless devices in each device

6th Step – Simply tap on the wireless device which is show, (It will show the Mac address) simply press connect

7th step – Like in Bluetooth in other device it will ask confirmation simply press OK

Wait for some moment; it will start connecting in both devices


8th step – That’s it your done connecting Wi-Fi Direct. Now you can share your files via Wi-Fi Direct.


Example of how to send files –

If you need to send a song; select the song and press share music via Wi-Fi (instead of selecting Bluetooth)




Soon as you select Wi-Fi the device will search for devices, and the connected device will pop up.

Select it, and click yes on other device. Soon as you pressed yes your song has being transferring.
